    Set in the pristine backdrop of Providence, Rhode Island, Brown University is a private, Ivy League research university founded in 1764. Comprised of The College, Graduate School, Medical School, School of Engineering, School of Public Health, and the School of Professional Studies, Brown also offers a Brown/RISD Dual Degree in conjunction with the Rhode Island School of Design.

    Hotel Providence is just five minutes from Brown's main campus in the College Hill Historic District. There is no shortage of college sports at this institution of higher learning. The Brown Bears compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics in the NCAA Division I, and they have the second most extensive collegiate athletic program in the nation.     The best way to see if Brown University is a right fit is to take a tour of the beautiful Providence campus. They offer group tours, private tours, and class visits. Led by Brown students, campus tours allow prospective students the opportunity to see the campus first-hand and to learn about landmarks, student life, dining, and its history. Tours last approximately 60 minutes and begin at the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center located at 75 Waterman Street, Providence, Rhode Island.

    Where Should I Park When Visiting Brown University?

    When visiting Brown University, there are multiple parking lots around campus. You may find parking in Lot 68 Upper, also called the Power Street Parking Garage, located at 111 Power Street. The garage entrance is located at the intersection of Power and Thayer Streets and contains two pay stations located at the front and rear of the garage. After payment, place your receipt on your vehicle dashboard.
